Grant-Funded Initiatives

CREAR Futuros

Funded by the Hispanic Federation, Inc., the CREAR Futuros (Create Futures) Peer Mentoring Program aims to strengthen student sense of belonging, retention and progression in college. The overall goal is to promote student academic achievement and career readiness, by providing a support network and guiding resources. While the Hispanic Federation designed CREAR Futuros to support Latino student success, students of all backgrounds are welcome to participate in the program.

HSI/msi Certifications

When requesting a signature on a HSI/MSI certification form or the US ED Title III/V eligibility letter, the HSI/MSI Authorized Organizational Representative/Signatory (Dr. Cyndia M. Muñiz, Senior Director, Grant Initiatives and Partnerships) should be added as an Ancillary Reviewer on related Funding Proposal records. These proposals should also be tagged accordingly in HRS and include an attached signed SERVING statement.

Department Research Administrators and/or Proposal Specialists should not provide any HSI certification to faculty members without first contacting the AOR/Signatory for eligibility review and determination of what documentation is most appropriate for the submission.

When unavailable for an extended period (as determined by away message), Celeste Rivera-Núñez, Director, Sponsored Programs, Office of Research, serves as the backup signatory.

Any questions regarding these processes should be directed to HSI@ucf.edu. Learn more about HSIs and MSIs
