•Tools for Civil Discourse: Practical frameworks including the 4 Rs Method, Crucial Conversations, DESC Script, Interest-Based Relational Model, and Nonviolent Communication
•Dialogue vs. Discussion vs. Debate: Understanding differences and practicing relationship-building elements
•Ask Big Questions: Meaningful conversations connecting personal reflection to societal issues
Best For: Classrooms, leadership retreats, professional development workshops, team meetings, or student org meetings
Format: One-time workshop (1–3 hours)
A play-based, trust-building experience using games and activities to establish psychological safety before deeper dialogue.
Best For: Team-building events, orientation programs, leadership development sessions, retreat openings
Format: In-person or online, single session (2–3 hours)
A facilitated conversation using NIFI guides to explore complex public issues through shared values and respectful listening.

Online Learning Series
Format: Online modules (asynchronous or self-paced through Obojobo and Canvas)
Duration: Flexible; can be completed individually or cohort-based

Build digital literacy and critical thinking skills in today’s information landscape.

A national initiative helping participants strengthen civic dialogue skills through respectful, cross-perspective conversations. UCF hosts a dedicated Civic Gym hub with tracked participation.
