Requesting accommodations at UCF for classes or housing due to a disability? If so, please review the information below on how to request accommodations at UCF.

Student Accessibility Services is responsible for determining reasonable disability-related accommodations for students with disabilities at UCF. Students who believe they may need reasonable accommodations are responsible for contacting Student Accessibility Services to initiate a review of accommodation requests. Notifying other campus personnel (Admissions, academic advisors, faculty, etc.) of disability status does not initiate the recognized UCF accommodation review process. The information within this page identifies the official steps necessary for students to begin the process. Any official accommodation request starts with completing an appropriate SAS accommodation application. Students will receive decisions on requested accommodations within 10 business days of a meeting with SAS personnel unless otherwise noted.

Not sure if you may have a disability or if Student Accessibility Services is the right department to assist you? Take our brief survey to help you decide.

Requesting Accommodations

Academic Accommodations

Are you seeking accommodations for your classes such as testing accommodations, notetaking technology support, communication access, or other access needs for your lectures, labs, or internships?

If so, then please review our Academic Accommodation Application Guide for requesting accommodations.

Housing Accommodations

Are you seeking accommodations for on campus housing such as housing modifications, housing lottery exemption, or to bring an Emotional Support Animal or Service Animal into the residence hall? If so, then please review our Housing Accommodation Application Guide

Please be sure to complete the application(s) that match what you are requesting. SAS consultants will only discuss housing accommodations for the applications completed prior to the meeting. For example, students should complete the Floorplan Accommodation Application and Lottery Exemption/Waitlist Priority Application if seeking both prior to their meeting. Students should also complete an application for housing prior to requesting housing accommodations.

Academic and Housing Accommodations

To streamline the experience, please submit both applications around the same time. This allows SAS to review all requests in one meeting.

If only one application is submitted, SAS may only review that type of accommodation during your initial meeting. A second appointment may be needed to discuss the other.
