Raised in Orlando, Florida, Janila earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Central Florida and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Criminal Justice and Public Administration at her alma mater. Her passion for higher education began through her experience working with students and her personal understanding of the challenges faced by underserved and first-generation students. Mrs. Dunn previously worked with the TRIO Upward Bound Talent Search program at Florida A&M University, where she supported pre-collegiate students as they worked toward their educational goals. Since returning to her hometown, she has continued to serve the community and support students. Outside of work, Janila enjoys cooking, reading, and spending quality time with friends and family. She looks forward to connecting with students, sharing her experiences, and helping students make the most of their college journey.
