Study Space for Veterans

Located inside the Military and Veteran Success Center there are four private study rooms available for use during regular scheduled operating hours.

During midterms and end of semesters finals week, the study rooms are open during extended hours.  Study rooms can be reserved on a first come, first serve basis.  To reserve a study room please email MVSC@ucf.edu.

Reservations must be placed 24 hours in advance and must include the following information:

  • Student Veterans Name
  • UCF ID
  • Day and Date
  • Begin and End Time Needed
  • Student Veteran’s Email Address
  • Number of students (one must be a student veteran)

A confirmation email will be sent to the student veteran with the assigned study room number and time requested with additional details.


Priority and Multiple Term Registration

As a student veteran, you have special access to priority registration for your classes. Avoid the scheduling rush; be among the first to enroll in the classes you want.  If you have questions about student veteran priority registration, please call 407-823-2707.

Undergraduate Student Veterans also are granted access for multiple term registration, after their first semester at UCF.  Multiple Term Registration permits eligible student veterans to register for Spring Term at the same time as the Summer and Fall Terms. Learn more about Multiple Term Registration.


Accommodations

If you have used accommodations at another institution, have a rating from the VA, or are using Veterans Readiness and Education (Chapter 31), you may be eligible for accommodations from UCF. The MVSC team (in collaboration with Student Accessibility Services) will assist you to apply for assistance with classroom and examination accommodations. The academic advisor will also help with course registration and can refer you to campus and community services for veterans with disabilities if necessary. Enrollment Verification

The Office of Military and Veteran Student Success (MVSS) at the University of Central Florida uses the National Student Clearinghouse to process and provide enrollment verifications and CHAMPVA letters.  Enrollment verifications can be completed through your Student Self Service located in your MyUCF. Verification of the current term of enrollment is official approximately seven (7) days following the drop/swap/add period for each term. For questions and more details on how to obtain an enrollment verification please visit the Registrar’s Office website.

If a signature is needed for CHAMPVA letters, print out the emailed verification from the clearinghouse and take to Registrar’s Office for a signature. The Registrar’s Office is located at 161 Millican Hall.

The MVSS is unable to provide students (veterans and dependents) with enrollment verification directly from our office.

ChampVA Letters

ChampVA School Enrollment Certification letters should be turned into to the Office of Military and Veteran Student Success at the beginning of each semester. The letter can be submitted via email or in person. A School Certifying Official will sign the letter, and the front desk will fax the letter to the ChampVA office for approval. We can provide confirmation of receival if requested by the student.
